Pom Pom HELP

I found this tutorial on the Martha Stewart website on how to make pom poms. Mine came out horrible!
Any suggestions how how to make them so they come out decent??

  1. Those are absolutely adorable. I haven't tried making them myself, though they look a bit complicated, so I'm not sure if I will. :/

  2. Hi Christina,

I saw some of her kits at Big Lots the other day and almost bought one! It might be easier with a kit??

This gal might be able to give some pointers:

She recently did a post about them, and hers looked cute!

    Good Luck!

  3. Hey Christina! Yeah, these little guys can be a pain in the butt, BUT it can be done...I re-peat, it can be done. ;) I did some for my daughter's room quite a while ago...you can see a pic of them here: http://littlebitvintage.blogspot.com/2010/01/project-vintage-whimsy-phase-1.html

I didn't get the Martha Stewart kit...it was cheaper just to get the supplies; however, I did follow her directions. The tricky part is pulling all the pieces apart. Is this where you had problems? You can e-mail me with your questions if you want.

    Smiles,

  4. Hey there...this is my first time here, but I had to comment. I made these for my nieces birthday party back in Aug. or Sept and did a tutorial, because Martha was lacking one little step that makes a ton of difference. After you do the accordian fold, fold it in half, cut the corners of the fold, open it{still accordian folded}, tie with a twist tie or something, then fluff them out.
