Vintage Junkie Multiples Party

My favorite multiples are...

My white dishes, I have quite a few plates, bowls, platters and pitchers. I have them in my "new" hutch and hanging on the wall.

I also have multiple black frames. Some don't start out black but a little spray paint goes a long way.

I have a lot of windows, I just can't get enough of them.
I have one hanging outside on my porch, I took the picture through the living room window, can you see it hanging there?

They are hung and propped up all over the house, I am constantly moving them around.

I also use them as frames.

I hope you enjoyed looking at all my multiples...go check out all the others.

Paca Gardens

We went to Pace Gardens today as they were having an open house.

They has mini wood Alpacas for the kids to paint.

Makayla painted hers on both sides

Then we went over to see all the Alpacas. They have 16 at Paca Gardens with two babies who were oh so cute!

They were having a naming contest, Makayla's names we Vanilla and Brownie as the babies were white and brown. I'll let you know if she wins. :)

End Table Reveal...

Remember the Saturday I spent painting all of this?

Included in all this painting was a cute little end table I picked up when I was in Ohio.

She got a fresh coat of cream paint and then I really brought her to life with a chandelier, yes I now it is off center, EVERYONE in my house has brought that to my attention. LOL But I did do that on purpose, for some reason I didn't want it perfectly center. I originally was going to add a glass knob, but the existing holes are too close together, so I added a coordinating ribbon instead.

We are going to Paca Gardens today in Little Falls, they are having an open house. They just had some baby Alpacas born so if you leave nearby, come check it out.
Oh yes, don't forget if you haven't entered the giveaway, be sure to do so as I will be drawing tomorrow after work.
Thanks for all the kind comments regarding Kimmy's birthday. Time goes so quickly it is still unbelievable she is 16, seems like yesterday I was changing her diaper. As I am sure all of you know.

Sweet 16

My oldest daughter turned 16 today. Where does the time go? She is the best daughter anyone could ask for. She is kind, loving, honest and beautiful. I am proud to be her mother. I love you Kimmy! My pictures are out of order. We had a small family birthday party and tonight she was off to another friends sweet 16 party.

New Home

Remember the free hutch I came home to Monday? Well I found a new home for it. I collected some of my white dishes and placed them inside. They do stand out well against the dark wood.

That night after I posted about it and my desire to paint it, my father called looking for me. I had gone to the store and when I came home my oldest daughter said I had to call Grandpa, he was going to yell at me.?. Well I called him back and of course he said I COULD NOT paint the hutch. LOL. Well for now its not painted, but I still may in the future, sorry Dad.

Don't forget about the fall sign giveaway, be sure to leave a comment on that post. If you haven't seen the sign yet, its on top of the hutch.

Have a great night!

Simple Dresser Redo

I picked up this dresser at Salvation Army a few weeks ago. Great piece of furniture and it already had the great glass knobs, BUT the color was off. Some white paint made all the difference.

This is one of the 4 pieces of furniture I painted this weekend. I will share more tomorrow.

Memory Board Take 2

In between coats of paint yesterday I finished up another memory board. The first one I made sold the same day I took it to the shops. This one is a bit different, I used an old window and a different color palate.

I am finishing up on the furniture makeovers, soon I promise.

Slacking...

I have soo much going on right now. I am sure you all know what that is like. The kids are all back in school, Makayla was sick this week and it is only the 2nd week of school. We have football and field hockey, so most nights we don't get home until after 7 and eat at eight or nine if we are lucky. Sooo...I have a lot of started projects but not too many completed to share. I hope to get a lot done this weekend.

Cut down a dresser I picked off the curb, paint it...paint another dresser I picked up...paint that little side table(I wanted to paint it but just needed that encouragement that it would be OK) As you see a lot of painting I hope.
In the meantime I will leave you will a small redo. I picked up this angel at Salvation Army. Like the shape but not the style. I sanded, painted and distressed her.
I think she came out well.

Have a great day and I should be back with some new things to share.

To Paint OR Not to Paint?

I picked up the sweet little side table. BUT I don't know if I should leave as is or paint it white and distress it? What do you all think? Let me hear your ideas.

Witches, Candelabra and a table...

I tried to get a decent picture, can you see the witch in the mirror?

I finally brought down the candelabra. Doesn't it look wonderful? How amazing would that be hanging on a back porch or from a tree with all the candles lit at night.

Last but not least...a table redo. A standard round table now has some french pizazz.
