Millers Mills Ice Harvest

We managed to squeeze in a quick trip to an annual ice Harvest.They cut out ice chunks from the frozen pond



and move them by horse to an ice house.



Over the summer they will use the ice to host an ice cream social. Very cold but also very fun.

    OH MY GOSH that looks cold! Weren't you afraid the whole group of people would fall through the ice? I'm a true South Texas girl and have never seen anything like cutting a pond. WOW! Very cool!
