Yesterday we celebrated Kimberly's 17th birthday. 17 seriously?? She is a wonderful young lady who has wonderful ambition and plans for her future as she should. This is a strange birthday for me. I was seventeen when I had her and a senior in high school. WOW! She has made the comment a time or two on how she couldn't imagine having a baby at her age, as she shouldn't. I think back and I can't image NOT having her at my age. Of course things were not always easy and still can be stressful but we have accomplished so much compared to most teenage parents. I am so proud to be her mother and I can only hope she is proud to have me as her mother!

Wow, I can't imagine having a child that young, either! I also am glad I am now too old to have more since it takes so much energy besides the wisdom to have kiddies!! My grandkids can wear me out even though I have much fun!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your Kimberly, Christina! The years do go so fast! It's funny how sometimes we think we were more mature at the age are kids are.
ReplyDeleteHappy 17th being a Mama- Day!
ReplyDeleteI had my daughter at 17 too. I have been blessed for sure and can't imagine it any other way. Now she is 23 and married, no babies.
One of my greatest accomplishments has been getting my girls through their teenage years without any pregnancies. You know statistics.. lol I wanted to beat the odds.
Anyway, great job on your baby! And happy birthday, to you both!
Happy birthday to your daughter! I bet she is very proud of her talented mom!
ReplyDeleteTime flies, doesn't it?
Aww! Happy Birthday to her! You are obviously doing a great job raising her!
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful! And it is hard to imagine us at that age having babies. I got married at 17 and had a baby at 18. Now when I look at 17 year olds I just can't even fathom them getting married so young. Things were different back then I guess. You both are wonderful parents !!
