Touches of color

With the beautiful weather we have been having, some touches of color were called for. Love the Aqua frame and red polka dots!

Whimsical Table

Remember all that furniture I received from my friend? I am finally getting around to painting some of it. This little table was a challenge. At first I was going to paint a chess/checkers board in the middle. That didn't work out as I had envisioned it.

So I went with something a little more whimsical.

Terrarium Love ♥

Yesterday I gave you a sneak peak of the Terrarium that this guy created and was featured in County Living. Here is mine, I just love it. It is such an easy project, you should try it. I changed mine a bit. I added the metal brackets to the top and an old knob to the front. Did I already say I love this!

Paper Fun

I have been playing with old book pages and creating a fun display for my booth. I made another paper wreath, this time I used old dictionary pages. they weren't quite aged enough so I helped them along with some tea stain.

I also cut out some butterflies that are flying away. Also cut from an old dictionary.

The weather has been absolutely beautiful here. I think Spring may have arrived!

Look at the treasure I bought today, I can't wait to bring it home and make it beautiful again.

17 years and counting...

Today is our anniversary, 17 years. Where has the time gone...we were so young when we married and each year we grow closer. I am so lucky to have him in my life! I would love to say that I have been MIA because we have had a week long celebration, ha ha but we have all been passing around that darn stomach bug. I think we are all in the clear not? Kimberly my oldest didn't get it and hopefully she won't as she flies out Tuesday to go to Washington D.C. for a young leaders conference. So I haven't been working on anything, I will get back into the creative spirit and have some stuff to share soon, promise.

Glass Lamp

I came across this beauty at Salvation Army yesterday, I love it. My only problem is the shade. Does it work with this lamp? Advise me please. I am not good at picking out shades that compliment a lamp.

I picked up this cheese dome pedestal thing at the thrift store. I was very 1980. I painted the base white, spray painted the tile black and added a cute little key. Now it is 2010.

This cute little birdie sits inside.

He is a sneak peak at one of the sewing tables that I am working on. As you can see we didn't redesign the inside as the sewing machine is going back in. This will make a great display piece for a sewing room, actually I believe the machine still works so it could be a pretty functional piece.
